TechInnovation continues to promote co-innnovation partnerships
TechInnovation 2019, an EEN brokerage event organised by IPI Singapore was held as part of Singapore’s Week of Innovation and Technology on 11-13 November. This year’s TechInnovation showcased 176 technologies from 76 organisations, including local and overseas startups, SMEs and research institutions.
On top of its flagship Crowdsourcing and Crowdpitching segments, 2019’s edition featured new topics on Open Innovation and innovation challenges with a focus on sustainability. TechExpert sharing sessions and clinics were also introduced to provide SMEs with actionable insights to optimise their product innovation journeys.
Other highlights of the event included a UK-Singapore Innovation panel session co-hosted by the Department of International Trade (DIT) where leading chief technology officers, scientists and industry stewards discussed the future of 5G communications and artificial intelligence.
A new thematic track on Design-led Innovation made its debut on 13 November. Jointly curated with the DesignSingapore Council and the Textile and Fashion Federation Singapore, design thought leaders, practitioners and academia shared their insights on the importance of converging design, technology and engineering disciplines to spur innovation in experiences, products, services and urban solutions.
